A Global Crisis or a Crisis for Globalization? The Challenges for Europe

SNES represents Sweden’s leading research network dealing with questions and issues regarding the European Union. It includes the active participation of academics including doctorial students from across the country, as well as involving policymakers and practitioners from organisations with a strong interest in understanding the contemporary development of the EU. Its activities include workshops conferences and institutional support for international collaboration in EU research, as well as the publication of an annual yearbook (together with the research networks of legal scholars and economist), which 2010 focuses upon the EU and the global crisis.

One of SNES most prestigious activities is the annual spring conference which in 2010 will be held at Karlstad University. The 2010 spring conference will therefore represent a major event when the country’s leading experts and scholars, together with invited policymakers, will meet in Karlstad to discuss the future of the European Union.
